ACS Critical Pathways Regional Workshops

Program Description

The current ACC/AHA guidelines and performance measures for ACS provide a solid framework for optimizing ACS patient care in 2010. Development and implementation of critical pathways that are consistent with published guidelines and tailored to the needs and resources of each institution can lead to increased use of evidence-based therapies and decreased patient mortality. An interdisciplinary, systems-based approach to overcoming barriers to implementing these guidelines is critical for success. The STRIVE critical pathways workshop will help you and your team assess your own systems of care for ACS and update and implement the latest critical pathways for ACS at your hospital.Case-based lectures by experts in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and emergency medicine will be interspersed with hands-on hospital team work sessions. The tools provided at the workshops (including critical pathways flowcharts, standing orders, PCI reminders, pocket cards, discharge checklists, and patient communications) will help build effective, individualized critical pathways programs for your institution. In addition to the latest guideline updates, you will hear about recent and late-breaking clinical trial results. Don’t miss out on this unique program that will support your team’s ongoing commitment to providing quality care.
